President Michael Dunn called the May monthly meeting to order 1745hrs following SFD playground presentation- fundraiser August 4th at Two Roads Brewery in Stratford.

There was no April Monthly meeting. March Minutes read, accepted: Gavin, Bernie

Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Officers and Committees:

Grievance Committee: Same grievances at state, three up for commissioner's meeting tonight (two for Nemo days, one for comp time)

Safety Committee:

United Way:

Pension: No decision from city on whether they want to open or roll it. Union to send letter that no decision by end of contract will be taken as keeping it as is.

Awards Ceremony: No money for it.

Bylaws:

Worker's Comp:

Social Committee: Bowling night tomorrow. Good feedback for picnic- cannot book park until insurance is acquired. Working on pizza truck and other details.

President's Report: Inspectors exam in, 7 people scheduled to take it.

Danny Worroll's position officially dissolved as of today- went to PD for SRO training.

Dispatch at PD now, BC Chapman is current supervisor of FD dispatchers- any issues to go through him.

EMS billing accepted by aldermen, issues regarding impact (ALS AMR services, engine medics riding in & reducing manpower, etc..) no progress as yet regarding implementation/negotiations and where the funds will go to.

Union funds are dwindling, trying to work out new method of dues and control spending.

Working on new "EAP" type program within the department- looking into options and waiting for new administration to be solidified.

Grievance committee attended workshop yesterday.

Roger's daughter top earner for St. Baldrick's- thank you to all the brothers who donated and showed up, it was a great experience

June 22nd- Branford Fireworks. Dombrowski rented VFW hall to watch show. Motion to request Union front $150 for food to be reimbursed after event. 2nd by Gavin, unanimous.

Burn foundation work party June 20-22

Motion for Hall and Dombrowski to get days covered for Burn Camp. 2nd Luciano, unanimous

Motion for $500 to Milford Yankees by B. Edo, 2nd by Rabel. Discussion regarding lack of funds compared to donations and which accounts fund what. Passed unanimous.

Motion to reimburse Ruggerio a day if commissioners do not grant it by Rabel, 2nd B. Edo, unanimous

Flag Football for Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser $100/team, June 8th 10-4 at Law, after party at Ale House 6-9 $5 at door. Contact B. Edo.

Please attend meetings as much as possible, numbers have been declining lately. Importance of staying up to date and getting donations, keeping everyone updated as news comes to light.

Ronnie Wetmore has tickets for Sandy Ground fundraiser at Two Roads Brewery.
