President Michael Dunn called the March monthly meeting to order 1730hrs.

The February Monthly meetings were read and accepted. Wes, Buda

Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Officers and Committees:

Grievance Committee: Three filed for Storm Nemo regarding time-off/force back OT. 3 at state now (Cars, Andy, Todd)

Safety Committee: Looking into cotton/poly vs 1500s for uniform shirts

United Way:

Pension: Wydra's numbers are in. Calculations in.

Awards Ceremony: Status Quo. Depends on Chief position/Commissioners. Can do it on our own. Possibly tie-in to retirement dinner?

Bylaws:

Worker's Comp:

Social Committee: Cook everything on our own vs. Pizza truck for $20/person for 4 hours, Young kids free, Older kids $10. June/July. Will work out details with Heenan for expenses vs budget.

St. Patrick's Day: Went well. No casualties. Good time.

Retirement Diner:

Dunk Tank: Having trouble getting insurance for Union with Dunk Tank.

Easter Egg Hunt: This Saturday. Can park in church next to new station. Call LeBrecque if attending.

President's Report: Ret. Stratford FD contacted us for 26 playgrounds for SHES victims. Milford nominated for two (likely get one) planning in works for location and logistics. Will need 16 volunteers [at a time] when days arrive to prep site. Will involve MPD and Newtown EMS.

            Training issues lately with Seeman's Ln location. Question of asbestos/lead paint.

            Questions about uniforms-still investigating. Going back to Rubber boots.

            No money being spent on anything. Working on what can be done to alleviate damage to department and ensure well-being/safety of members.

            Still working out OT/swap/excused days from storm.

            Correction made to co-pay rates from error by city. Will be getting new (correct) page/contract online shortly.

            Issues with bereavement and time allotted vs working schedule vs funeral/date of bury. Working on getting clear language/policy.

            Workers Comp can bring you back to work (light duty) right away if you are injured on duty. Injured at home requires 6 days off before they can request coming back. CANNOT order you back to work if Doctor says you can't be there.

            Pension negotiations are going to open. Still waiting to hear back from City. Accepting requests/suggestions.

Communications and Bills

Golf Tournaments (will be posted on website)

Fire Ops 101- April 15th in Hartford. Details to come.

$329.45bill for website.

Slyman still out/light duty. Last test didn't go well. Still trying to come back, not sure what current status is. Still in work hardening/therapy.

Chapman on "Light Duty" filling his position. Still in therapy

Three medic students in school now.

Still shortage of medics for Rescues and E5.

Lieutenants promoted tomorrow. Congratulations to 5 new LTs (Hall, Piskura, Mohr, AJ Murphy, Geno)
