President's Report:

Pension not returned from city yet. At this point filed bargaining in bad faith motion through UPFFA. Already "approved" by aldermen. Waiting on "true Language" contract so we can see exactly how they are re-writing it. Chief Edo called City- told "we're not the only union." Initial review sent back in December. If we don't hear within the next two weeks, we will send out the TA. Keep in mind it is the TA, not final language. Bad faith filing is more or less scare tactic. If it goes to city it will probably be dragged out. Not likely to change anything as it has already been voted on by aldermen.

Chief's meeting today- Union asked Doug to get all BCs on the same page and doing the same thing. Attempt to rectify the R2 OT, one possibility is single list- working on logistics and use with fire manager. Responsibility will fall on members to sign up or take name off list. Will take care of issues with BCs hiring how they want. System will automatically bring up next qualified person with low hours- still get a call to confirm. Working out all possibilities and concerns still. Ultimately it is a policy and Chief has final discretion.

Member involved in EAP, let's not start rumors or speculation. They're getting help they need now. We will advise if family needs any help with anything.

Two brand new R2 crew. Please be patient while they are getting broken in. Constructive criticism is welcome. If you see anything concerning or dangerous alert union or officers.

2nd Annual [Honorary Member] James Mattioli 5K road race in the works with Ron Wetmore. Scheduled for March 21. Working on donations/scholarship-type funds towards Milford Schhols (Law & Foran?) will be worked out when amounts are determined. Working on establishing separate 501 for themselves, outside the union. Please see Ronnie for details and to help.

Some time before race, we will try to do a work party to put down new mulch and dress up playground.

ICMA issue "resolved"- City failed to deposit ICMA money on 11/14. Has been deposited- assured amount on W-2 form will be correct amount for year. Will not affect next years contributions. Failsafe- if ICMA does not receive deposit in 14 days they will notify city.
