President Michael Dunn called the September monthly meeting to order 1730hrs.

Moment of Silence for Retired FF Dave Rizzo and Branford DC Ronald Mullen.
The previous month's meeting minutes were read or suspended- Platek , Halprin 2nd , unanimous.

MDA: Made $6,147.93 on boot drives. Not many members showed up to help out.
Pension: Doing well, Robert George got his contribution back. New full time person there to calculate pensions- not doing it right so far, will only estimate based on years- no vacation time, terminal leave, etc.

Social Committee: Picnic likely not going to happen again- poor turn-out and little participation. May look into other event. Discussion about fees and costs.
Santa on the Green: Looking for new Santa. Rick George volunteered to do it for Santa on Green and Toys for Tots.
Toys for Tots: Looking for new members, a couple people interested.
Holiday/Retirement Party: Ronnie still working on finding location. Costs are adding upwith new management of old location. Will be $55/person- book at HQ. Healey, Ike, and Mantie. Sober shuttle will be running again.
Kids Holiday Party:
Dunk Tank: Still waiting for contact to set up press release.
President's Report: Retired FF Rizzo passed away due to complications from stroke the other day.
A lot of rumors flying about Tower moving, full-time R2, etc. Chief has brought up removing ALS position from E6 due to call volume not being where it was expected. Removal of position would be bump in bid and medics under commitment would have to finish out on medic unit.
Transporting on hold for now due to AMR appealing decision at State. Mayor still unwilling to increase minimum manpower to accommodate two full-time medic units.
Seeman's Lane facility being discussed as new maintenance facility.
Bob Staurovsky was sent his retirement papers after being out nine (9) months- per contract. Will see where it goes.
Keith (new maintenance supervisor) is taking over until they can make his position permaent.

3rd Annual James Mattioli 5K Road Race meeting will be November 2nd at 630pm at Stonebridge- all invited to help out and plan for next year.

B. Edo- regards to retirement dinner, could we do better to honor retirees so they don't have to buy all tickets. New proposal to give up to six (6) tickets for immediate family members: i.e. spouse/significant other and kids. 2nd, AJ. Discussion- removed cap to leave number to executive board's discretion. Unanimous.
Dunn, AJ & Lucky attended Foxwoods UPFFA Convention workshops and seminars. Our district is losing secretary/treasurer of IAFF- position to be voted on in 2016 Vegas convention. Three candidates put in, lengthy vote led UPFFA to endorse Ed Kelly of Boston. Motion by Lucky to send him letter of endorsement, 2nd by AJ, Luciano elaborated on meeting and candidates- believed Kelly to stand out above other two and would be better suited to position. Unanimous.
Motion to donate $100 to Rick George's Santa's Workshop for being Santa for our events by Halprin, 2nd Hessberger. Unanimous.
Asking for location to store tables & chairs while wall is being removed at 7s. Will have to establish a plan, and will also need to buy some more. Round tables are beyond repair/use. Possible re-institution of deposit for return and cleaning.
